DJ TASK
INTRODUCTION
Our task was to pretend to be a DJ and create a top 10 list countdown. First, we have to pick 15 to 20 songs and put it in a list, then we were to conduct a survey from middle school to highschool on which songs are the best. The survey takers could pick a maximum of three of their favorite songs. Then we would take the top 10 requested songs and put it in a top ten countdown. We had to include everything like Introductions, the song, and even make our own DJ name, but the task was very fun indeed.

This Saturday CIS will celebrate the annual International Fair Day. The organizers invited local radio – UR 105 (Ultimate Radio) to host the said event.
Pretend that you are the “trainee” DJ from UR105 –Ultimate Radio who will be sent to CIS.
Your task is to record this week’s top 10 most requested songs to be aired on that event.
Make sure that you include your recorded introduction of each song.
You may use Audacity or any similar program that you opt to use to edit the music and record the introductions.

Our next song, which is number 8 on our list by the way, is ‘All My Friends’ by Snakehips. Snakehips? Who’s Snakehips? Good Question! They are actually a British electronic R&B duo. But wait, we hear some familiar faces on this catchy tune, with Tinashe and Chance the Rapper, both whom are also very popular R&B artists. Here goes the song…
Song 7: Lush Life by Zara Larsson
Number seven on our list, is Lush Life by Zara Larsson! Zara Larsson, who’s that? She’s a Swedish singer and song writer. But this isn’t the first song we’ve heard from her, in 2015 she collabed with MNEK in Never Forget You, since that song was a hit, I guess she decided to release her own single… once again; this is Lush Life by Zara Larsson….

Our next song is In the Night by the Weeknd! This is the first time we’ve heard from the Weeknd; He actually released several hits in 2015, including The Hills and I Can’t Feel My Face during the rise of R&B music! Did I just say He? Of course I did, because The Weeknd is just one person, a male in fact and his name is (I might pronounce this wrong) but, Abęl Makkonen Tesfaye and he is actually Canadian, huh? Who knew? Song 5: Stressed Out by 21 Pilots
Number five on the list, is Stressed Out by 21 Pilots! 21 Pilots is the band name for Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. Wait, only two members?! I would say that’s more of a duo, am I right? Well, this song is a single for their new album ‘Blurry face’, notice one of the lyrics were ‘My Name is Blurry face and I care what you think’, is that coincidence or was it intentional? What does Blurry face even mean? Nobody really knows… here is stressed out….

Our third most requested song is Me, Myself, and I by G-Eazy and Bebe Rexha. The song is about the artists and their struggle for privacy, and the music video certainly shows that. Song 2: Pillow Talk by Zayn
Here is our second much requested song! Pillow talk by Zayn. Zayn? That name sounds familiar? Well, of course it does, because it’s the same Zayn from One Direction. His original name is Zayn Malik, but after he left the iconic boyband, he changed his stage name to just ‘Zayn’, I guess he didn’t like his last name? He was also in a longtime relationship with one of the singers on our list, Can you guess who? Yes, Perrie Edwards from Little Mix. Well, they were in a long term relationship, until the couple broke it off, I guess when Zayn said he was going solo, and he was really going solo. Anyways, here is Pillow talk…
Song 1: We Don’t Talk Anymore by Charlie Puth ft. Selena Gomez
Now for the number one requested song of the week! We don’t talk Anymore by Charlie Puth. This is one of the songs on his newly released album, Nine Track Mind! This song was not actually released as a single, but as a regular song on the album, but since the song was so good, people just kept begging for more! He sings this catchy tune, with a very familiar Disney face… yes! Selena Gomez! But how did these two artists whose music is very different, even decide to make a collaboration. Well, Puth says that when he was writing the song, he couldn’t help but think of Selena, because she was in a very public on and off again relationship. Anyways, here is your much awaited song….

I think all the info I put on the song is important, so I will talk fast when recording.
Step 5: DJ, you’re ready to record! Get your headset and hit on the DJ booth.
Note: Save each introduction as a separate file. You should have 11 voice recordings (Introduction of yourself, introductions of song1, song2, song3 etc.)
Step 6: Refine your recordings using audacity. Reduce noise and cut unnecessary parts.
Step 7: DJ, gather all the audio files (edited voice recording and top 10 songs) that you need for enhancement. Merge the files into 1 audio file with appropriate effects (fade in and fade out).
Step 8: Don’t forget to save your file and submit to the Radio Manager (Mr. Burgos) for approval. J
